Full Cellar Farm is currently hiring one full-time and one part-time farmworker for the 2021 season. These are seasonal positions, running from the beginning of April through mid-November. (Hours will be slightly less in April and May.) Pay starts at $15 per hour, and includes paid vacation and sick time. Overtime is uncommon, but will be compensated at time-and-a-half of the hourly wage.

About the Farm

Full Cellar Farm started in 2014, and has been offering a weekly vegetable CSA since 2015. Community Supported Agriculture is our passion and provides almost all of our income. Our CSA focuses on smaller, more manageable share sizes and allows members to choose which vegetables they get in their box each week. We farm on about 6 acres, between Gresham and Boring, which we lease from the East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District. We use sustainable growing methods to improve the health of the soil, water, and ecosystem.

Position Description

Both positions are seasonal, running from the beginning of April through mid-November. Crew members will participate in most aspects of the farm work, including seeding, transplanting, irrigation, weeding, harvesting, and packing CSA boxes. Strong work ethic, good physical fitness, attention to detail, and a positive attitude will contribute to a successful farm season.

Position Requirements

-Physical fitness and strength, including the ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently throughout the day and engage in repetitive physical tasks

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team to get work done as quickly and efficiently as possible

-Good attention to detail

-Ability to make decisions and be self-directed when needed

-Emotional maturity and respect for self and others

-Reliable transportation to the farm

-Availability for the entire farm season (beginning of April through mid-November).

We want to support more diversity in the small farm world! Prior experience is preferred, but we encourage anyone with a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn to apply.
