
The
Farm Story
Full Cellar Farm was started in 2014 in Gresham at the Headwaters Farm Incubator program. Since 2019, we've been stewarding 14 acres of mostly south-facing land near the headwaters of Johnson Creek, and within sight of beautiful Mt. Hood.
Previously a tree nursery with bare soil except for rows of arborvitae, we have watched the land come back to life with flourishing hedgerows, a restored natural area shading the creek, and the wildlife they foster.
We carry the responsibility of caring for this land, and are grateful to the Indigenous people who stewarded it for millennia, including the Chinook, Clackamas, Multnomah, Cowlitz, Kalapuya, Atfalati, and others.
Both the mountain and the creek inspire us during our long work days, and serve as a constant reminder about who we're privileged to be sharing our land with. We work towards our vision of a creek full of lamprey and beavers, a mountain white with snow to carry us through the summer, and a farm where all our neighbors feel welcome and well fed.
Our Vision
Sustainable
How we grow is central to who we are. We are certified Organic and Salmon Safe by Oregon Tilth. We strive to farm in a way that leaves our soil, water, and wildlife habitat better than we found it.
Accessible
We believe in growing food for anyone in our community who wants it, regardless of their ability to pay. That's why we accept SNAP, offer scholarships, and partner with local nonprofits and organizations providing mutual aid to distribute fresh food year-round.
Worker-Centered
At Full Cellar Farm, we aim to be a model of an employee-centered workplace, offering paid time off and benefits, and real participation in running the farm. Read more about our labor practices here.
Community-Oriented
Our goal is to sell our produce as close to our farm as possible. We sell our vegetables to local schools and distribute a ten-month-long veggie CSA throughout east Multnomah County. We partner with other local small farmers and producers to host an online food hub.
Where to Find Us

East County Food Hub
In 2025, Full Cellar Farm launched the East County Food Hub, an online marketplace bringing local farmers, ranchers and producers together to sell directly to our neighbors. The Hub opens weekly and offers pickup sites and home delivery east of the Willamette River.

CSA
Full Cellar Farm offers a 10-month CSA season, September through June. We emphasize popular, easy-to-use, seasonal vegetables in our crop offerings as well as add-ons from local partners. Visit our CSA page to learn more about member benefits.

The Farmers
Emily Cooper
has been farming since 2008, when she found her calling during an apprenticeship at Backyard Gardens in Joseph, Oregon. She feels that farming is the perfect balance between art and science, and she loves that she never stops learning. She started Full Cellar Farm in 2014 at the Headwaters Incubator Program, where she shared space, equipment, and ideas with farmers from more than a dozen other small, sustainable farms. That experience solidified her belief in farming as a community endeavor. Emily is an avid reader and a lover of hiking and trailrunning.
Amy Wooley
moved to Oregon in late 2019 in search of a new adventure. The pandemic inspired her to serve her new community, so she took a farm internship in 2021. There she found growing food to be as much a challenge as it is a privilege. She started at Full Cellar Farm in 2022 and appreciates that every day is different. Amy was raised in Kentucky and has dabbled in many trades including cooking, travel planning and pet retail. She loves to bake, exercise, draw, and nap in her free time.
Rachael Crane
is an Ohio transplant who has lived in Portland since 2015. After graduating from Ohio State University with a degree in Wildlife Management, Rachael received an internship at an educational farm. It was there she discovered her love for growing and sharing food. Some things she loves about farming: driving the tractor, stopping work for bird watching, eating while harvesting, laughing and learning with the most amazing people everyday. When she’s not farming Rachael can be found in her garden playing with her daughter Stella. She is in her seventh season with Full Cellar Farm.
Julia Stone
is a Washingtonian at heart but is happy to call Portland home since moving to Oregon in 2018. She first fell in love with farming living in Walla Walla and it haunted her ever since. After a career in direct service roles across government and nonprofits, she surrendered to her love of growing food and joined the Full Cellar crew in 2022. Off the farm, you can usually find her hitting the trails with her faithful hound dog or curling up with a good book. She is in her fourth season with Full Cellar Farm.
